Chapman Lily Planning are pleased to have secured outline permission for the development of 9,200sqm of employment uses on a 4ha site at Silk Mills in Taunton. The approval of the outline application is the first step in seeing a development come forward that will deliver significant opportunities for local job creation contributing towards Taunton Deane Borough Council’s aim of providing 11,900 new jobs.
Local commercial agent Robert Cooney has already received expressions of interests from a number of companies looking to expand or consolidate to new premises.
Working proactively with Taunton Deane Borough Council Chapman Lily Planning where able to secure a consent without any onerous conditions. The application was supported by the Council’s Economic Development Manager demonstrating that the Council are keen to see sustainable development being delivered in accordance with their recently adopted Site Allocation and Development Management Plan Document.
